It’s Time to Upgrade Your House or Apartment with a New Design

This is the time of year when most people will re-do rooms in their house to give your home a new look. It is best to do any changes before fall and winter set in. There is a new trend in home design that is slowly becoming popular and that is warm minimalism. Many homes and apartments in Japanese architecture started this trend of minimalism.

What does this mean?

A minimalist space is one that feels inviting yet cozy, rather focusing on bringing in large-scale modern furniture but with edges that are soft. It is a movement that develops simplicity by the removal of all items that are non-essential or not used. This idea is based on the creative idea of using only what is needed. It is believed that this approach in decorating your home will make your place a peaceful space with no interruptions or clutter and it can be done no matter the size of your home or apartment.

First, create space

Upgrade your home to expose as much space within a room, such as your living area. You only hold on to items that are essential to their survival in that room. It can be difficult for some people who are used to having all their favorite things around them.

Minimum furniture

For example, a bedroom needs only a bed, a small table and maybe a chair. If you are truly wanting to try this design, then get rid of a bedroom with large chests, armoires, and other items. No office setup or no television.  In the living room, you need seating for the average number of people living in your house. If you are the only one in the house or apartment, why have seating for 5 people; just have a nice couch and end table.

Boho home

You can also go in a different direction, with colors, eclectic furniture, and fun. This is called a Boho home décor. You will add a bit of the bohemian décor into your spaces. It is more of a fashion that would be called free-spirit fashion, with colors, textures, and patterns. This creates a unique, chic interior. Cutting down on colors like yellow and white.

But no matter what your style will be, remember that this is the time of the year to do any upgrading of your home or your décor.
